Someone Needs to Spank Her
I am sure by now everyone has heard about the lawyer that has proposed a law banning spanking of young children. If not you can google it. I wanted to chime in on some of my thoughts here. First, why do we keep making laws we can't, or don't, enforce. I mean unless you are dumb enough to admit to spanking your kid, or unfortunate enough to get caught on camera, it will be a your word against mine issue. Do we really want a jury or judge deciding if some neighbor that hates us, or our dumb kids trying to get even, are lying about us. We already have abuse laws, and DHS can't even keep up with those properly. Which brings me to my next point. Money. As in your MONEY collected through TAXES. If this law goes though in CA it will only spread, and eventually your state will make you pay to enforce it. (If they enforce it.) Let's look at some of the the expenses that come to mind: court cost of attorneys, court cost of juries, court cost of judges, build new prisons (we already don't have room for all those horrible weed smokers), pay law enforcement officers at the new prisons, new DHS employees (their work loads will explode), housing for the kids forever (parents will be found unfit to raise them), pay for anything and everything related to raising these kids. So do you really care if a kid gets a spanking or swat every now and then compared to not having their parents, and your increased tax dollars? Seriously, someone try to convince me this is a good plan.
